Ekco Electronics Ltd. have developed, under contract to the Ministry of Aviation, systems for determination of the miss distance of guided weapons or projectiles fired air-to-air, ground-to-air or sea-to-air against towed or self-propelled practice targets. The Design Approval Authority is the Royal Aircraft Establishment (Instrumentation and Ranges Department), and flight trials have been carried out by A. & A.R.E. Boscombe Down.
